Matteo Salari


Matteo Salari is a up-and-coming contemporary artist known for his large-scale abstract paintings that explore themes of human body, mental health. Born in Rome, Italy, Matteo moved in the United States in 2016, growing up in West Hollywood.
Matteo recieved his Diploma of Arts in Art from Calcagna D’oro in 2016. His work is characterized by intricate, multi-layered compositions that blend drawing, painting, and print making techniques.
In his paintings, Matteo often incorporates elements of mental health that explore the complexities of the human experience creating dynamic and complex visual narratives that reflect the caos and energy of contemporary enviroment that creates a unique space for dialogue, healing, and connection. It allows both creators and viewers to confront and understand their inner worlds, fostering empathy and resilience in the face of mental health challenges. His use of gestural marks and sweeoing lines evokes a sense of movement and urgency, while the layered nature of his work suggests the accumulation of history and memory.
Matteo is one of those rare people who is able to make things happen naturally, capable to release his energy and emotions in every single art work. His work is held in many private collecions.
Currently, Matteo lives and works in his private studio in Los Angeles, where he continues to create thought-provoking and visually captibating paintings that challenge and  the inspire the viewers.
